Windsor Castle, New Years Eve

Windsor Castle is one of my favourite places to guide around. The world's longest continuously inhabited royal castle, going back almost 1000 years. This time of year, you can get to see the incredibly sumptuous semi state apartments, with my personal favourite being the Crimson Room - although to be fair I'd take any.

Thanks to a fire in 1992, the current castle is now in the best shape its been since it's last upgrade / remodelling by George IV around the 1820s. Pictures are of a winter sun setting over the Curfew Tower on the left - where the bodies of miscreants were hung in the 1500s & 1600s and the Salisbury Tower on the right.
